Sophie G. Galaviz, 62, of Avondale died Nov. 21, 2010, in Goodyear.

Mrs. Galaviz was born May 16, 1948, in El Paso, Texas.

She is survived by her husband, Alejandro Sr.; four sons, Alex Jr., Ruben, Pedro and Adrian; two daughters, Elizabeth and Gloria; her mother, Inez Garcia; four brothers, Salvador Jr., Gilbert, Joey and Tony; three sisters, Myrna, Janie and Maggie; 19 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. today at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 5614 W. Orangewood Ave., Glendale.

Burial will follow at Glendale Memorial Park Cemetery, 7844 N. 61st Ave., Glendale.
