Francisco Cardenas, 94, passed away Friday, February 10, 2012 with his family at his side. He was born January 12, 1919 in San Miguel El Alto, Jalisco.
Francisco worked as a labor foreman for Christos Fruit Care of Mesa since 1966 to 1975. He retired and returned to Yuma since. He was an active member of the Roman Catholic Church. He was homeschooled until he got his Bachelors in Mexico. He loved to care for his dogs, growing his fruits and vegetables, and loved his family greatly. He was a good man who loved his sons and daughters until his last breath.
Francisco is survived by his sons, Adolf, Arcadio, Juan Francisco, Alberto, and Luis Martin Cardenas; daughters, Alma Delia, Dora Maria, Mayra Guadalupe, Yolanda, Elva, Caroline, and Theresa Cardenas as well as 40 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Arcadio and Guillermo Cardenas.
A visitation will be held at Desert Valley Mortuary Tuesday, February 14, 2012 from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Pallbearers will be Adolf, Juan Francisco, Arcadio, and Albert Cardenas.
