FINDLAY, JR., Francis (Frank) McRae


Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, Arizona Thursday, February 23, 2012 FRANCIS (FRANK) MCRAE FINDLAY JR. 69, died May 18, 1998. He was born in Boston, MA to the father Dr. Francis McRae Findlay Sr. and mother Louis Hazard on February 27, 1929. He is survived by daughter Cynthia, granddaughter Nicole Neigebauer and son Richard Findlay, Frank is also survived by sisters Martha Lee and Anne Roberts. He was preceded in death by his Father Dr. Francis McRae Findlay, mother Louis Hazard and stepmother Ruth Findlay, brother John M. Findlay and Sisa; Frank's twin sister who passed in childhood. Francis wore many hats in his life time. Frank received his B.S. Degree at Arizona State University in Elementary Education, completed Officer Candidate School. After returning from service in the Air Force, he taught at South Beaver Elementary School. He later obtained a B.S. Degree in Engineering at the University Of Arizona. He became an Assistant Civil Engineer for the City of Flagstaff. Frank also worked as a Civil Engineer for Pima County, then in an engineering firm in Denver, Colorado. He was active with the Boy Scouts and the Civil Air Patrol. His hobbies were fishing and traveling the United States. He was an activist in educating people about the effect of zero population growth on the world. Memorial services will be held for both Frank and Eldy Findlay at Norvel Owens Mortuary. 914 E Route 66. Flagstaff, AZ Saturday February 25 at 5 pm.
