Death Claims Pioneer Woman
Mrs. William Love, a pioneer woman of this city, passed away at the home of Mrs. Homer Edwards, of Humboldt yesterday morning following an illness of three months.
Mrs. Love made her home in the city for many years, coming from Silver City, New Mexico in 1890. During the last few years, she lived on the Agua Fria river below Humboldt.
Her many acts of kindness endeared Mrs. Love to all she came in contact. Many of Humboldt's children found their way to her home each Sunday during the summer season and went away rejoicing from the flowers in her garden and the fruit from our orchards. Her home was a favorite haunt for young and old.
Several months ago, when Mr. Love took charge of the janitor work at the Humboldt school he and Mrs. Love moved to that town.
Mrs. Love was affiliated with the Baptist church in Prescott and for many years was president of the Ladies Aid society.
She was 64 years of age and is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Nelson Johnson of Clarkdale and Mrs. Logan Morris of Mayer and one son, Robert Love, of Humboldt.
