W. H. Love, Pioneer, Dies in Prescott
Mrs. Elsie Johnson was called to Prescott Saturday to attend her father, W. H. Love, who was ill in the Mercy hospital. He died Saturday evening at 6:30. Mr. Love was 78 years of age and was born in Georgia.
Forty years ago he came to Prescott from El Paso and for many years drove one of the old freighters over the mountain trails to Humboldt and Jerome. For the last few years he lived on a ranch near Humboldt.
Mr. Love leaves one son, Robert and two daughters, Mrs. Elsie Johnson of Cottonwood, and Mrs. L. W., of Phoenix.
The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon from the Ruffner Funeral Home in Prescott at three o'clock. The Rev. Raymond Talbert of Clemenceau conducted the services.

Pioneer Dies At Mercy Hospital
Funeral services for W. H. Love, who died last Saturday at the Mercy Hospital will be conducted from the Ruffner Funeral chapel at three o'clock tomorrow. A Clarkdale minister will officiate.
Love came to Arizona 40 years ago as a freighter in a covered wagon train. He was a resident of Prescott for many years, being employed at the city waterworks. For the past few years he lived on a ranch near Humboldt. He was 78 years of age.
He is survived by three children, Mrs. Logan Morris, of Phoenix, Mrs. N. R. Johnson of Clarkdale, Robert Love of Clarkdale and seven grandchildren.
