Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Wednesday, February 22, 2012 - Robert Glenn Sheriff passed away on Feb. 18, 2012, in Lake Havasu City, at the age of 84. He was born on Jan. 24, 1928, in Denver, Colo., to Charles and Adeline (Morgan) Sheriff. Bob was raised on the family Sheriff Ranch in Hot Sulpher Springs, Colo., he worked as a carpenter and he helped build the Granby Dam. His father was County Commissioner of Grand, Colo., and drafted Robert into the Army. Bob proudly served in the Army in the Korean Conflict from Oct. 1950 to Nov. 1952, serving in the 200th Engineers. He was a member of the BPOE Elks #2227 in Westminister, Colo., and Carpenters Union #55. He loved to walk at Rotary Beach, enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing. Bob is survived by his loving family; his wife of 58 years Josephine Sheriff of Lake Havasu City; son Joe Sheriff of Westminister, Colo.; daughters Terrie Bacher of Euless, Texas and Mickie Johnson of Sheridon, Wyo.; brother John B. Sheriff of Hot Sulpher Springs, Colo.; sister Peggy Jagelski of Santa Clara, Calif.; six grandchildren; 3.999 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, at St. Michael’s Methodist Church from 2-3 p.m. Services will immediately follow with Pastor Tom Mattick officiating. Donations can be sent in Bob’s name to the American Lung Association, 1102 W. McDowell Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85003.
