Parker Pioneer, Parker, AZ - Published on February 22, 2012 - Betty Lee Dillon, of Bermuda Palms, passed away Jan. 6, 2012 at La Paz Regional Hospital in Parker. She was 88 years old, having been born Aug. 7, 1923 in Windsor, Mo. to Virgil J. and Daisy Barker. She married Earl F. Dillon Jr. on Sept. 13, 1945, upon his return from service in World War II. They celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary prior to Earl’s death on Dec. 27, 2000 in Bermuda Palms. After a career of office management and accounting in Sioux City, Iowa, Betty retired in 1985, Shortly thereafter, she and Earl moved to Bermuda Palms in Earp, Calif. She resided there for over 25 years. She was a member of the BPOE Does, and was an active member of the Parker United Methodist Church. Betty will be remembered for her warm smile and positive personality. She is survived by her son, Michael O. Dillon of Chicago, Ill. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl; her brother, Billie; and her parents. Memorials may be made in Betty’s name to the Parker United Methodist Church, 1300 S. Ocotillo Ave., Parker, Ariz. 85344. There will be a celebration of Betty’s life from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, March 10, 2012, at Deadmond Hall in Bermuda Palms
