BRIGHTON, Allan Burns


Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, Prescott, Arizona Allan Burns Brighton, born February 15, 1933, embarked on a glorious journey to his heavenly home on February 27, 2012. He was predeceased by his parents, Allan A. Brighton and Margaret Sheran and beloved daughter-in-law, Monika Brighton. He is survived by his two sisters, Barbara Castles, Judy DeLisa, and James Brighton. Allan, and his wife of fifty-eight years Eleanor, have four children: Peggy Brady (Pete),Kathy Tinsley (Troy), Allan C. Brighton and Amy Lee (Richard), and twelve grandchildren: Blake Allen, Ryan Brady, Grant Allen, Kevin Brady, Katie Lee, Dominic Brighton and Vanessa Brighton, Nicole Lee, Laura Brady, Kristin Lee, Shannon Lee and Daniel Lee. Allan traveled widely and had a long career in management with TWA. He joined the Navy at age 17, graduated from Rutgers University in 1958, and earned an MBA from ASU in 1981. As a youth he enjoyed performing in the Balentine Drum and Bugle Corp in Irvington, New Jersey. More recently, he enjoyed singing with the High Mountain Chordsmen in Prescott, AZ. Allan, and his golden retriever Bonnie, were a fixture around the Courthouse and Whiskey Row. With Bonnie at his side, Allan enjoyed regular visits with dear friends in Whiskers Barkery, the Galloping Goose and the shoe store on Gurley St.
