Charlotte Gertrude (Clark) Plese passed into eternal life on February 28, 2012 at Rose Arbor Assisted Living in Flagstaff.
She was born on June 24, 1925 in Halifax, Vermont to Clarence and Gertrude (Hill) Clark. She graduated with her RN from Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
She briefly did nursing in Long Beach, CA before marrying Matt "Sonny" Plese on August 31, 1955. They moved to Winslow in 1957 and then back again, from Gallup in 1965. Charlotte worked for many doctors including Dr. Bertino and Dr. Engvall at the Winslow Medical Clinic and then at the Santa Fe Clinic for many more doctors including Dr. Lewis and Dr. Beckwith. She began working for Dr. and Mrs. Lee in 1983 until her retirement in 1998. She loved nursing, people, and working at the clinic.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Flagstaff.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister and brother-in-law, Bea (Bob) Wade (Feeding Hills, Mass.) and her brother, Francis Clark (Brattleboro).
She is survived by her husband, Matt Plese, three daughters, Mariellen Plese of Flagstaff, Carol (Casey) Gilliam of Winslow, and Dr. Sheila (Jim) Johnson of Eugene Oregon. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Courtney (Bo) Barton, Ashley(Mickey) Siegel, and Erik Johnson. Her greatest joy was her great grandchildren, Shai Anne and Haileigh Barton.
She is also survived by her sister-in-Iaws, Shirley Clark(Townshend, VT), Maryola Brlyvich(Gallup) and Julie(Pat) Carpenter(Phoenix).
Charlotte loved pets, and memorial donations may be made in her name to the Arizona Humane Society, 1521 W. Dobbins Road, Phoenix, AZ 85041-8200.
At Charlotte's request, there will be no services, just a private family blessing and burial.
