GEROW, Marthella

West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona December 17, 2010 Marthella Blevins Mayhall Gerow, 84, of Sun City and formerly of Litchfield Park, died Dec. 8, 2010, in Sun City. Mrs. Gerow was born March 21, 1926, in Harlan, Ky. She moved to Arizona from St. Louis about 40 years ago. She was a piano teacher for generations of students in Litchfield Park. She also was a member of St. Alban's Anglican Parish in Peoria, and a former organist for Episcopal and Lutheran churches in Litchfield Park. Mrs. Gerow was preceded in death by her second husband, Denton M. Gerow. She is survived by one daughter, Elaine Mayhall Crowder; two sons, Charles Baxter Crowder and James Neal Crowder; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Regency Mortuary, 9850 W. Thunderbird Road, Sun City. Burial will be in Lexington, Ky. Memorials can be made to the Arizona Study Program (Piano), Arizona Music Teachers Association, 1201 W. Rovey Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85013.
