HITCH, Henry Atwood


West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona December 17, 2010 Henry Atwood Hitch, 87, of Huntington Beach, Calif., and formerly of Litchfield Park, died Dec. 8, 2010. Mr. Hitch attended Cornell University, where he majored in engineering and was a member of Kappa Alpha Society. In February 1943, he enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Forces, and as a second lieutenant, served as a B-29 bombardier during World War II. He later graduated from the University of Virginia and received a master's degree from the University of Washington. He served as president and chief executive of First Interstate Bank of Casper, Wyo., until his retirement in 1985, when he and his wife moved to Litchfield Park and became members of the Wigwam Country Club and the Church at Litchfield Park. Mr. Hitch was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalie. He is survived by two sons, Jim and Todd; one brother, Oliver Lee of Virginia; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Services will be Jan. 4 at First United Methodist Church in Casper.
