Robert Adams
The "Tsar" of Billboard Advertising, Robert (Bob) Adams, passed away Feb. 24, 2012, one day after his 77th birthday.
Bob's love of sports earned him a high school regional award in track and field. Bob was awarded a full basketball scholarship at San Diego State University. During Bob's incredible life, he shared many passions in sports, cars and art. Bob founded and was CEO of one of Southern California's largest family-owned billboard business.
Bob's most dedicated commitment was to give back to the local academic community of Prescott. Bob's belief was to encourage our youth of today for a better tomorrow. Bob was a "bigger than life" personality and anyone who met him would remember his great heart and how significant and dedicated his life was in leaving this world a better place.
Bob leaves behind his wife of 19 years, Syndi Adams; son and daughter-in-law Greg and Joyce Adams; grandsons Brad and Ryan; daughter Michele Freese; grandsons Eric and Bryant; daughter and son-in-law Mitzi and Shep McCook; step-grandson Cameron; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Julie and Rollie Jarmusch; brother-in-law Ken Kalisch; step-nephew and -niece Ryan and Jen Jackson and; step-grand-nephew Sawyer; and dearest mother-in-law Dorothy Kalisch.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested all donations be made in Memory of Bob Adams to Kestrel High School, P.O. Box 11028, Prescott, AZ 86304.
The Adams family would like to thank their extended families, Horizon Homes in Prescott Valley and Hospice of the Valley.
