John Michael Webster Jr. 91, passed away Feb. 28, 2012 in Lake Havasu City. He was born to John and Anne (Delany) Webster Jan. 3, 1921, in Los Angeles, Calif.
John was owner of a Webster Delivery Service for 50 years and moved to Lake Havasu City 22 years ago from Los Angeles. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. God and his family was his life, he loved to vacation with his family, they traveled over most of the Southwest but their place was the High Sierras in California. They went horseback riding, fishing and had just a wonderful time around a campfire at night. He loved to read all books, but in his later years he liked thoroughbred horses and was an avid reader of Blood Horse Magazine and Blood Line Books. John liked deer hunting, fishing and traveling in his motorhome.
John was survived by his wife of almost 70 years, Joyce Marie Webster; son, John Michael Webster III; daughters, Kathleen Louise Webster Walsh and Patricia Ann Renaldi; brothers, Joseph Webster and Robert Webster. Jack, as he was called by most friends, had six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed watching them grow up, then came the great-grandchildren and he loved seeing them all together swimming in the pool. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Evelyn Kirst and Mary Margaret Webster.
Rosary will be said Monday at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church at 12:30 p.m., with a Mass following at 1 p.m. Father Chauncey Winkler will be officiating.
