The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Monday, March 05, 2012 Walt Knittle November 23, 1928 - March 3, 2012 Walt Knittle was a graduate of Yale University School of Engineering, Class of 1948. He was employed by Hartford Electric as well as Pratt and Whitney Aircraft. After moving to California in 1953, Walt worked for North American Aviation. Later, he worked for the Aerospace Corporation where he retired after 32 years. He then moved to Prescott where he enjoyed caring for his horses and dogs at his ranch home. Walt died this past Saturday, March 3, 2012, after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by Darlyne, his wife of 49 years; two daughters, Elizabeth Hillis and Madalyn Wade; two sons, Mike and Keith; three grandsons; and one granddaughter; and his sister Toni Pace Carstensen. A private family memorial will be this week to honor Walter.
