Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Wednesday, March 7, 2012 - Mae Jean Bracken passed away March 1, 2012 at her home in Lake Havasu City. Mae was born Jan. 7, 1931, in Chicago, Ill., to William and Gertrude (Kubiki) Bell. Mae has been a resident of Lake Havasu City for 40 years. She was best known as “Bayless Mae” as she had worked for the supermarket for 17 years. She was also employed at Walgreens and was a volunteer for Havasu Hospice for many years. Mae leaves behind no enemies as she had a huge heart and was always giving of her time to help others. Taking a ride to one of the casinos was a sure way to put a smile on mom’s face. She is survived by her three daughters, Donna, Linda and Karen; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great, great-grandson and her BFF Mary. As per Mae’s request, she will be a member of the Science Care research and education program. A private celebration of life to follow at a later date. She will be missed immensely as she was so LOVED. A special Thank You to New Hope Hospice for all their compassion.
