Hazel G. McReynolds went gently into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Feb. 21. She was born in Ontario, Canada, on March 19, 1922.
Hazel was raised in Stouffville by her faithful mother and Unky. She attended Toronto Bible College where she graduated top of her class and met her future husband. Hazel and Floyd McReynolds married on Oct 9, 1943. They had their two sons in Ontario, Canada, their two daughters in Orange, Calif., and raised their four children Mark, (Judy) Stephen, Trudy (Keith Freedman) and Rachell (Scott McKim) and adopted Pam and Ron Weinzapfel in 1972, all in Dallas, Texas.
Hazel and Floyd together enjoyed active leadership roles in their Bible Church for more than 40 years. They love and adore their 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. They lived in East Texas for 24 years and then came to Wickenburg to live with their daughter Trudy.
Hazel was known for her Christ-like love to all who crossed her path. People came to her for help with the direction of their lives, their marriages, and their questions about the Bible. They knew they would receive working truth, a Biblical standard, and rivers of love. She was known for her genuine warmth and bubbly personality, her sparkling eyes when she smiled, and her ability to love and accept anyone, no matter what, no matter who.
Hazel is survived by her 93-year-old husband, all her children and grandchildren and by her loving brother Clayton Brander of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 16 at LifeStream Complete Senior Living at Cook Health Care 11527 W Peoria Ave, Youngtown, AZ 85363.
