The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Thursday, March 08, 2012 Carolyn Mae Woodcock passed away peacefully on March 1, 2012. She was born Carolyn Mae Siebenthal Dec. 28, 1923, in Long Beach, Calif. She grew up in the deserts of California as the only child of her father Orand and mother Florence Siebenthal. Carolyn worked during the war in the B17 manufacturing plants in California and her future husband worked for JPL. She married Albert Truman Woodcock March 12, 1945, and they moved to Clarkdale, Ariz., where Albert worked for Newmont Exploration in Jerome. They moved to Prescott in 1953 and raised their two sons, Daniel and David Woodcock. Carolyn worked at several jobs in the Prescott area including switchboard operator for Mountain Bell, an assembler for Aquarium Pump Manufacturing, and for the Prescott Plastics Factory. Carolyn loved to fly and received her student pilot certificate for gliders in 1977. Albert preceded her in death in 1986. She is survived by her two sons, Daniel and David, and grandson Todd A. Woodcock with his wife Stephanie Yoshino and their son David D. Woodcock (3 years old); and grandson Michael E. Woodcock with his wife Bobbie Woodcock and their two daughters Alexas G. (age 18) and Nickey E. (age 15) Woodcock; and granddaughter Christine G. Kurtz with husband Jim Kurtz; and grandson Brian Schultz with his wife Michelle and their son Brandon Schultz (age 17).
