Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Sunday, March 11, 2012 - James Linington Woodson passed away March 6, 2012 in Lake Havasu City, at the age of 89. He was born Feb. 17, 1923 in Farmington, Md. to Dexter and Sarah (Schenck) Woodson. James was a dentist who moved to Lake Havasu City 18 years ago. He is a proud veteran of the U.S. Army in WWII in the artillery. His hobbies were boating and flying. He also enjoyed visiting with friends. He was a longtime supporter of Boys Town Charity. James is survived by his loving family: daughters, Elizabeth Woodson and Jean Miller; step-son, Richard Winger; step-daughter, Sheree Winger; and sister, Katherine Woodson. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 36 years, Lee Woodson. A memorial service will take place Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Lietz-Fraze Chapel with words of comfort by Chaplain Kathy Kenny.
