CHAPPELL, Joe L.

The Daily Miner, Kingman, AZ - Published on March 14, 2012 - Joe L. Chappell passed away Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, in Phoenix. Joe was born Sept. 5, 1947, in Mountainair, N.M. Joe served our country in the Navy aboard the U.S.S. Richard B. Anderson during the Vietnam Conflict. Joe is preceded in death by his father, L.L. "Roy" Chappell Sr. and his sister Sandra Kay Leiter. He is survived by his mother, Essie Jo Chappell; brothers, Linus (Carol) Chappell of Kingman and Robert (Lynne) Chappell to Tucson; his son, Michael (Samantha) Chappell of Taiwan; daughter, Leah (Joe) Stein of Kingman; three grandchildren and a new addition great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews, who all love and will miss him so much. His body was donated to science to help better understand Alzheimer's with Lewy Body Dementia. The memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 17, at Living Faith Assembly of God Church, 4605 Arnold Ave., Kingman.
