Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, Arizona Wednesday, March 14, 2012 Elaine Gochnour Best, age 61, passed away March 2, 2012 from the effects of cancer. She was a graduate of Jerome High School. Elaine worked as a bartender in Globe for many years until moving to Colorado with her significant other six years ago. She always complained about the bad tippers in Globe. Her one claim to fame was memorizing every joke she ever heard. Her passing was quiet and in her own bed per her request. She is survived by two sons, Robert and William Best of Phoenix; a granddaughter and grandson in Phoenix; two half sisters in Phoenix; and a granddaughter and great-granddaughter in Oregon. She is also survived by a niece and nephew in Cottonwood. She will be sorely missed.
