The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 03/16/2012 Robert H. Norcom Jr., 73, died Thursday, March 8, 2012. Bob served his country in the Air Force during the Vietnam War and retired from the military in 1977. A true patriot, in lieu of flowers the family asks donations be sent to the Wounded Warrior Project: www.woundedwarriorproject.org or 1120 G. Street NW, Suite 700, Washington, D.C. 20005. Bob is survived by his wife, Elizabeth “Betty” Norcom. He also will be remembered by his daughter Donna Lang; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; brother Ralph Norcom; and his stepchildren. A prayer service to honor Bob will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 19, at the Queen of Heaven Mortuary, 1562 E. Baseline Road in Mesa, with inurnment to follow at the National Memorial Cemetery, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road in Phoenix. Queen of Heaven Mortuary handled arrangements.
