The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona Sunday, March 14, 2004 Mildred Crum, a long time resident of Humboldt, Arizona, passed away in Phoenix on March 9, 2004. She was born June 6, 1914 to Hiram and Katherine Bennett in Menard, Texas. She became an Arizonan in 1917 when her family made the trek from Texas to Arizona in a covered wagon. Her husband, Roy Crum, a daughter, Marilyn Vaglio and a grandson, Jake Wells preceded her in death. Her daughters, Donna Downing, Shirley Wells and Janet Dent, 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews survive her. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 on March 21, 2004 at Church of the Valley, 4101 E. Shea Blvd., Phoenix, Ariz.
