Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Wednesday, March 14, 2012 - Jerry McMillan, 65, passed away on March 3, 2012 in Lake Havasu City. He was born Dec. 29, 1946, in Arkansas to George Washington and Ola Mae (Tillman) McMillan. Jerry married his beloved wife, Beverly McMillan, Sept. 23, 1973, in Reno, Nev. They moved to Lake Havasu City nine years ago, coming from Turlock, Calif., where they resided for 40 years. Jerry loved his family and they were everything to him. He enjoyed farming, including irrigation farming. Jerry was always there for those close to him and raised three of his grandkids. He will be deeply missed and always loved. Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Beverly McMillan; daughter, Christine McMillan; stepchildren, Tony, Alan and Annette Balderston; grandchildren, Christopher Pearson, Shawn jay, Aaron VanBuskirk, Chrissy McMillan and Troy Balderson; great-grandchildren, Kaytlen Pearson, Tessa Foster and Riley Jay; brother, George McMillan; and sister-in-law, Janet McMillan. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Freida; and brothers, Billie and David. An open house to celebrate Jerry’s life will be at 2566 Anita Ave. today starting at noon.
