Frank William Oddo
(January 14, 1927 - March 21, 2012)
Frank William Oddo, 85, dearly beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and hero to all who knew him, passed from this earth into heaven at 2:21am on March 21, 2012 in Flagstaff, Arizona.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Ada, his daughters Yvonne Tucker and Frankie Mohlengraft, sons-in-law John “Sandy” Mohlengraft and Richard Tucker, grandchildren James, Jarrett, and Joseph White, and John Mohlengraft and Jaime Allen. He was also the adoring great-grandfather of Bryce, Braelynn, Makayla, Zane, JD, Lily, Kai, and soon to be born Maddox. Frank was also survived by his brother Vince Oddo and sister Laura Miranda.
Born and raised in California, he served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, then met and married his partner for life in 1947. He and his wife made their home and raised their family in El Monte, California, then moved to Flagstaff in 1984. Frank was a retired firefighter for the Los Angeles County Fire Department, but is best know as the “golf guru” of Northern Arizona. He will be missed by everyone whose life he touched.
To celebrate his life, services will be held Friday 11 am at Christ Church of Flagstaff, 3475 E. Soliere Ave., Flagstaff, AZ.
Burial will follow at the Citizens Cemetery Veteran’s Section.
