SHIELDS, Dayton R.

Mohave Daily News, Mohave Valley, AZ - Published in Mohave Daily News Online from March 18 to March 25, 2012 - Dayton R. Shields, age 83, a 27-year resident of the Tri-state Area, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2012. He was born in Wink, Texas, on November 23, 1929. Dayton attended Leuzinger High School in Calif. and married his sweetheart Betty, (deceased). He served in the U.S. Navy and owned Lee's Automotive in Sepulveda, Calif., before retiring to Willow Valley, Ariz., in 1981. Dayton is preceded in death by his wife, Betty, and his son, Dana D. He is survived by his daughter, Judy Warfield of Showlow, Ariz; sister, Helen Stone of Mohave Valley, Ariz.; several grandchildren; and his loving companion for over 12 years, Kasey. No services are planned. He requested his body given to Science Care.
