Parker Pioneer, Parker, AZ - Published on March 21, 2012 - Aug. 2, 1925 - Feb. 20, 2012 Ella Mae Byrd, 86, passed away Feb. 20, 2012. She was born Aug. 2, 1925, in Geary, Okla. She had lived in Quartzsite, Ariz., for 20 years and was a homemaker. Ella Mae and Rex Byrd were married in Quartzsite in 1946. She enjoyed sewing, home canning, and playing slot machines. She is survived by sons James and Vernon their families; and one sister Dorthea Storie, of Oklahoma City, Okla. She had lots of relatives and friends from California, Arizona and Oklahoma. She will be laid to rest at Hi Jolly Cemetery, in Quartzsite, next to her husband Rex Byrd.
