BARKLEY, Harland H.

West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona Tuesday, March 13, 2012 Harland H. Barkley, 71, of Buckeye died March 3, 2012, at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix. Mr. Barkley was born Dec. 20, 1940, in Bemidji, Minn. He moved to Arizona in 1977. He worked as a building plans engineer, and retired from the city of Tempe. He served four years in the Air Force and was stationed in Japan. He is survived by one daughter, Debbie Moles; three sons, David, Daryl and Keith Pitts; one sister, Betty Dirk; four brothers, Roy, James, Don and Mark; and eight grandchildren. A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. March 18 in the Sundance Adult Community ballroom, 930 S. Sundance Parkway in Buckeye.
