Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published on March 22, 2012 > Beverly Joan Beattie < > July 4, 1930 - Feb. 29, 2012 < Joan Beattie left this life after a very brief battle with cancer. She is survived by her son Mike Pace (Debbie) of Grand Junction, Colorado, her sister Pat Balistreri (John) of Lake Kiowa, Texas, her brother Bob Carey of Lake Havasu City , granddaughter Michelle Pace Lamar (BJ), great grandchildren Austin Terry Lamar and Jonae Terry Lamar all of Grand Junction, Colorado. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews in the Balistreri, Kazmierczak and Carey families. There are also many new family members who will have to depend on those of us remaining for the stories and memories of Joan. She was preceded in death by her mother Jeanette Carey and brother Walt Kazmierczak (Terry). In California she was very proud of her 30 years as an underwriter at Lomas & Nettleton Mortage. Joan went on to work at CDM Supply in Lake Havasu City and later at Miracle ear with her devoted friend Melody Nash. She was loved by many and will be missed dearly. We find it appropriate that she came into this world on Independence Day and left it on a day that only occurs once every four years. In her memory, please drink a Brandy and Soda.
