Mel Mott passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2012. He was born April 9, 1965, in Kingman to Lee and Janice Mott. He was preceded in death by both parents; his daughter, Christy Marie; and his sister, Mary Mott.
Mel is survived by three beautiful children: Christopher Mott (Michelle) from Rapid City, S.D., Sandra Mott (Ruben) and Shantal Mott from Kingman; three beloved grandchildren, Tristan, Jasmine, and Jaydin; and five siblings: Aaron Mott, Debbie Mott, and Donny Mott of Kingman, Suzybeth Mott and Elisa Dunbar of Montana; and many nieces and nephews.
Mel graduated from Bryman's as a certified surgery scrub technician and worked at AIMS for many years with Dr. A. Khan, whom he admired very much. He also worked at KRMC for a short period of time.
Mel spent his time hiking and fishing in the mountains and lakes surrounding Kingman. He enjoyed creating replicas of Indian artwork. Above all this he loved spending time with his grandchildren and making lasting memories with his family.
Mel was very caring and thoughtful to anyone he met. His is greatly loved and will be missed! His family and friends are saddened at their loss of such an amazing and creative person.
Services were held Saturday, March 24, at Kingman Christian Church. Anyone wishing to make donations can do so at Wells Fargo Bank in Basha's on Andy Devine.
