GRIEVES, Edna Cora

Wickenburg (AZ) Sun Wednesday, February 6, 2008, p A-10 Edna Cora Grieves, 79, of Sierra Vista, passed away on Tuesday, Jan 22 at Life Care Center in Sierra Vista. Edna was born on Dec 11, 1928 in Loyalton, Calif., to the late Gilmore Francis Martin and the late Edna Cora Hathaway Martin. She was raised in Reno, Nev., and attended public schools there. She married William "Art" Grieves in Reno. He died in 1990. They moved to Wickenburg, Ariz., in 1976. She had worked as the Town Clerk in Wickenburg, from 1980 until her retirement in 1997. Edna enjoyed going to the casinos in Laughlin and Las Vegas. She had been a Sierra Vista resident for the past three years. She is survived by her sons Gilmore Grieves and his wife Mary of Barstow, Calif., and William Grieves and his wife Khristine of Omaha, Neb., and two daughters Linda Hammond and her husband Charlie of Sierra Vista and Christine Anderson and her husband Frank of Needles, Calif. Other survivors include a brother Pino Martin and his wife Jewel of Bloomfield, NM and her nine children and 13 great-granchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday (Feb 9) at St Andrews the Apostle Catholic Church at 1:30pm. Assisting the family is Hatfield Funeral Home in Sierra Vista.
