Lewis Michenfelder
Lew was born June 11, 1929 in San Antonio, Texas, the family moved to San Diego, California in 1938. Lew enlisted in the Army in June 1947. He did his basic training at Fort Ord, California, and parachute training at Fort Benning, Georgia.
He was stationed in Okido, Japan with the 11th Airborne. After being discharged in December 1949, he was employed by General Dynamics for 35 years. He retired in February 1985, and RV’d for a few years.
He lived in Idaho for 10 years and finally moved to Wickenburg in June 2000. Lew is survived by his wife Jean, a daughter Yvette Zoe of Boise, Idaho and a step daughter Kristine Crockett of Wickenburg.
He has grandchildren and great grandchildren in Boise, Idaho; Bradenton, Florida; and San Diego, California. He also has a great, great grandson in San Diego, California.
