Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, Arizona Wednesday, March 28, 2012 Central Heights — Imelda R. Jimenez, age 70, of Central Heights, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2012. She was born in Mexico on May 5, 1941, the daughter of Lucia (de la Torre) and Lorenzo Romero. Imelda was a member of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament in Miami and was very active in the church functions. She enjoyed cleaning her house, working in her garden and cooking, especially for her grandchildren. She truly loved the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchild. Imelda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Imelda leaves behind in loving memory her husband, Alvino D. Jimenez of Central Heights, Ariz.; four children, Alvino R. Jimenez (Beatriz) of Queen Creek, Ariz., Gregory Jimenez (Salena) of Gilbert, Ariz., Paco Jimenez (Eunice) of Gilbert, Ariz., and Julie McBride (Scott) of Gilbert, Ariz.; one son-in-law, James Gilliam of Queen Creek, Ariz.; one brother, Antonio Romero de la Torre; three sisters, Maria Victoria Romero de la Torre, Rosa Maria Romero de la Torre and Carmen Romero de Camarena all of Mexico; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Lucia Jimenez Gilliam, her parents, and one brother, Francisco Romero de la Torre. Services for Imelda Imenez will be Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament, 844 W. Sullivan St. in Miami, Ariz. Visitation begins at 9 a.m. Rosary will follow at 9:30 a.m. and Mass will begin at 10 a.m. Funeral arrangements for Imelda R. Jimenez were entrusted to Miles Funeral Services Globe.
