Robert J. Pinnick Sr., 85, died Tuesday, March 27, 2012, in Flagstaff.
A funeral service will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Lozano's Flagstaff Mortuary, 2545 N. Fourth St.
Burial will follow at Citizens Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Lozano's Flagstaff Mortuary.

Robert James Pinnick, Sr. was born May 17, 1926 in San Bernardino, CA. Robert enlisted in the United States Navy and served in WWII on the USS Lowry. After service he returned to Arizona and completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in English at Arizona State University.
He had a strong love of flying airplanes and achieved his pilot license, later working for Valley Airlines. Residing in Scottsdale, AZ he married Carolyn Clarkson, where they had a son, Robert James Pinnick, Jr. and daughter, Lisa Marie Pinnick. The Pinnick family moved to Flagstaff in 1981, where Robert established a successful advertising business within both the Flagstaff and Prescott communities.
Robert is survived by his wife of more than 50 years, Carolyn Pinnick of Flagstaff, son, Robert James Pinnick, Jr., daughters, Lisa Marie Pinnick-Dunk, Patti Armstrong of Eager, AZ and five grandchildren. Robert will forever be loved and cherished for his kind personality and positive outlook on life. He enjoyed every day and loved living and working in the Flagstaff community. He will be deeply missed and remembered.
A funeral service was held on Friday, March 30, 2012 and Robert was buried in the Citizens Cemetery with Veterans honors rendered by members of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Marine Corps League and the Scottish American Military Society.
