Dotson May 11, 1939 ~ March 29, 2012 Services will be held on Monday, April 2, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Wickenburg Ward Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Wickenburg. ~~~~~~~~~ The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona Wednesday, April 04, 2012 Frances “Darlene” Dotson returned to her heavenly home on March 29 from an unexpected illness, surrounded by her entire loving family. Darlene was born May 11, 1939 in Prescott, Ariz., to the late Sterling Davenport and Naomi Ethel Fuqua. Darlene was the youngest of three children, having two older brothers Sterling Dexter and Robert Davenport. She married Dave Edward Dotson and they spent most of their married life in Bagdad, Ariz., and then after retirement in Wickenburg. Darlene worked as an X-ray technician and then later in life went back to school to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was a very talented woman. She was an artist, a seamstress, and could crochet anything. She was honest to a fault and had a great sense of humor. She loved music and dancing. She was an avid reader and a very good cook. Above all, she was a wonderful wife and mother. Darlene is survived by her husband of 57 years Dave Dotson, son Wade Dotson (Pat) of Morenci, Ariz.; daughters Donna Mathis (Scott) of Price, Utah; Karen Dotson of Sun City West, Ariz.; and Denise “Squeeky” Batterton (Berry) of Wickenburg; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Mom we love you more than you will ever know and the hole you left will never be filled. Funeral services were held on Monday, April 2, at 11 a.m. at the Wickenburg Ward Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
