Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Thursday, March 29, 2012 - Sandra L. Gonzalez was granted her angel wings March 18, 2012. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends after a battle with cancer. Sandra’s life seemed short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her gentle smile and delicious cooking brought so much joy to her family and friends. Sandra and her husband David “Speedy” Gonzalez raised three children, David, Louie and Rosana, in Lake Havasu City, along with her nephew, Paco Gomez. As a loving family orientated mother, when her children grew up, married, and moved away, she decided to move to Phoenix to be closer to her children, granddogs and new grandchild, Kaden. She will always be remembered as a humble and caring person. There will be a mass honoring Sandra at Our Lady of the Lake on April 3 at 8:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to www.OdysseyHospice.com or contact 480-218-9000.
