He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Thelma Bennett. Steve was a decorated Marine and Vietnam veteran who served his country with honor and courage for 21 years. After he retired from the Marine Corps, he worked in the private sector. He and Thelma moved to Bouse and Steve worked for the La Paz County Sheriff’s Office. He served the community of La Paz County for 15 years. Steve had a deep conviction for his work. He enjoyed exploring the desert and spending time traveling the country in his motor home with Thelma and his animals. He was a passionate man. Steve will always be loved and remembered by his mother, Beatrice Reich; in-laws Doug and Edna Ratliff; and brothers Michael, Scott, Casey and Travis Bennett. Steve’s nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, friends and associates will deeply miss him. He now joins his sister, Cindi Roth, in the hands of God.
