The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 03/30/2012 Amadita B. Padilla, 75, died March 23, 2012 in Goodyear. She was born April 22, 1936, in Magdalena, N.M. the daughter of Juan Barreras and Eduvigis Garcia Barreras. She was a resident of St. Johns. She was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Amadita is survived by sons: Samuel Padilla Jr. of Kingman, and Leo Padilla of St. Johns; daughters: Lorraine Schaeffer of Goodyear, Adaline Ramirez of Waddell, Bernadette Gonzales of St. Johns, and Amanda Padilla of Phoenix; brother Joe (Cruz) Barreras, sisters: Marcela Romero, Cecelia Garduno, Adela Jaramillo, Marianita Barreras, Lisa Pena, Sylvia Bojorquez, and Cristella Aragon; 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Sammy Padilla, sister Fedelina Garcia, and brothers Jose Barreras and Patricio Barreras. A viewing will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, March 30, and rosary at 7 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in St. Johns. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 31, at the church.
