Lucille H. Delaware, 79, of Payson, AZ passed away peacefully May 31st, 2007 in Surprise, AZ.
Born Lucille Hattie St. Laurent in Woonsocket, RI November 28th, 1927, she married Raymond R. Delaware September 3rd, 1949 and moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1958.
Lucille served as an active volunteer for 25 years in St. Agnes Catholic Church and the Maricopa County Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Campfire Girls. She worked as a secretary and librarian for St. Agnes Catholic Church, and later for Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix. She earned the "Silver Fawn" award from the Boy Scouts of America for outstanding contribution and achievement as a volunteer for the organization for over 25 years. Above all she was a loving wife and mother.
She is survived by her husband Raymond R. Delaware, her brothers Arthur, Eugene and Normand St. Laurent, her 7 children Richard Delaware, Jeanne Matheny, Mark Delaware, Paul Delaware, Betty Yandell, Michael Delaware, Robert Delaware, 11 Grandchildren, and 3 Great Grandchildren.
Memorial services were held at Camino del Sol Funeral Chapel, 13738 W. Camino del Sol, Sun City West, AZ 85375. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 2929 E. Thomas, Phoenix, AZ 85016.
