O'DONNOGHUE, Patricia Ann

(Maiden Name: Christensen)

September 14, 1938 - May 20, 2007 On Sunday, May 20th God called Patricia O'Donnoghue home after a valiant fight with Cancer. Born Patricia Ann Christensen to Harold and Doris Christensen, she was raised in Graettinger, Iowa. Patricia was a homecoming queen at Graettinger High School and then continued on to graduate from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. After graduation, Patricia became a flight attendant for Braniff Airways. Later she worked in the Braniff Club in Dallas until 1982 and moved to Phoenix in 1985. She was an active member of Bible Study Fellowship and was its class administrator for the Phoenix Women's Day Class for 10 years. She then resigned to take a position as a receptionist for Bethany Bible Church in Phoenix. Pat leaves behind her husband, Dennis. Her brother Dan (Cherri) Christensen, her nephew Troy Hargrave, her niece Wendie (Scott Kunz) Christensen, her nephew Culley (Natalie) Christensen and her grand niece Nicole. Although she never had children of her own, she endeared herself to her step children Jenny (Cary) Cook, Andy Deer Jr, Heather O'Donnoghue, Marcia O'Donnoghue, and Katie (Brett) Walker. She was "Mamaw" to Andrea, Matthew, Coltrane, Adrian, and Leandra. She was "Great Mamaw" to Diego and Amaya. On her front door she had a wooden plaque that read "Enter with a happy heart". This was a true testament of how she lived her life, a happy heart with an enduring love for her Savior Jesus Christ. Perhaps God greeted her with "Well done my good and faithful servant, enter with a happy heart." A Memorial Service for Pat was held at Bethany Bible Church, 6060 N.7th Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85013 In lieu of flowers a contribution to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation 4343 E Camelback Rd, Suite 230, Phoenix, AZ 85018 would be appreciated.
