USRY,
Lucille Virginia
(Maiden Name: Tucker)
Lucille Virginia Usry, 81, passed away May 27, 2007.
What can I say about my mom. She was so wonderful. She married my dad on June 4, 1943. They did almost everything together for nearly 61 years until dad passed away May 28, 2004. I've never seen two people so in love, get along so well and have so much respect for one another. In all fairness, dad would want me to point out that he could be a little quick on the trigger and since mom was one of the kindest and gentlest spirits you'll ever meet, she could calm him down in a heartbeat. She never really recovered from dad's passing, but her friends, new and old, helped her stay busy especially the wonderful group at Boulder Mountain Christian Church, her traveling buddies and I'm sure I'm leaving out a few others.
Mom is survived by me, Kent, her brother Lloyd Tucker and nephew Phil Tucker. We'll all miss her very much. There's a lot more I could say about this loving person, but this must end as everything has to end.
Services were held at Boulder Mountain Christian Church, 9390 E. McLellan Road, Mesa. Internment at National Memorial Cemetery. She will be buried with dad on the same day he was only three years later. Remember, I said earlier they did everything together.
