Myra Sangster Begay, 89, died Monday, June 4, 2007, in Whitecone.
Mrs. Begay was born May 4, 1918, in Whitecone. She went to school in Leupp and in Albuquerque, N.M. She was married to Louis Begay of Toyei/Steamboat. She was a homemaker and lived in Whitecone most of her life. Her hobbies were weaving, sewing and sometimes traveling.
Mrs. Begay is survived by her children, Annie Dick of Whitecone, Vincent Begay of Flagstaff, Patsy Gordon of Pleasant Grove, Utah, and Cathy Whitehorn of Whitecone; 22 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Nelson and her husband, Louis Begay.
Funeral services were at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Interment at Desert View Cemetery in Winslow. Arrangements by Greer's Mortuary of Winslow.
