SCHROEDER, Gene Allan

Gene Allan Schroeder, 70, of Flagstaff, died May 26, 2007. 

He was born Aug. 3, 1936, in Maywood, Ill., to Milton and Florence (Marsh) Schroeder. 

Mr. Schroeder served in the U.S. Air Force from 1961 to June of 1964 in Chambord, France. He was a vice-chair of the Friends of the NRA Flagstaff Chapter, an ATO fraternity member at Arizona State University and an avid outdoorsman. 

Mr. Schroeder is survived by his loving wife Betty; daughter L.Mikel VanderMolen of Apache Junction; sons Ray S. Schroeder of Phoenix and Gordon A. Schroeder of Flagstaff; some nieces and nephews; and one cousin. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister. 

A celebration of Mr. Schroeder's life was at 5845 Townsend-Winona Road, Flagstaff. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Northern Arizona Hospice at 107 E. Oak Ave., Suite 102, Flagstaff, AZ 86001. The family wishes to extend a special thank-you to the hospice nurse Jessie. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.flagstaffmortuary.com.
