Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary Scottsdale, Arizona Barbara Gillesvog April 1, 2012 Barbara Gillesvog, 84, of Mesa, Arizona passed away April 1, 2012. Barbara was born in Benton Harbor, Michigan in 1927, and graduated Benton Harbor High School in 1945. Babara moved to Detroit where she attended Grace Hospital School of Nursing and graduated in 1949. She accepted a position at Hines Veterans’ Hospital in Illinois where she met her husband, Robert, and they moved the family to Arizona in 1958 where they raised their 5 children in Scottsdale. Barbara is survived by her brother, William Boyd, sister, Sandy Vigansky, 4 daughters, Karen Quaintance, Syndie Alsaker, Joni Dalton, Carol Tyra, 7 grandchildren, Michelle Dalton-Israel, Heather Deremer, Troy Alsaker, Jeremy Tyra, Erik Alsaker, Karlee Alsaker and Jacob Tyra, 2 great grandchildren, Wyatt Deremer and Annabella Tyra. Visitation is Friday, April 6th, from 6-8pm at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary, 6500 E. Bell Rd. Scottsdale, AZ 85254. Funeral services in the chapel Saturday, April 7th at 10:00 a.m. at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary.
