Mohave Daily News, Mohave Valley, AZ - Published in Mohave Daily News Online from April 5 to April 12, 2012 - Lorraine Marie Ferguson, age 91, a 32-year resident of Fort Mojave, Ariz., a much loved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 24, 2012, in Huntington Beach, Calif. Lorraine was born November 29, 1920, in Winside, Neb., and moved to California at an early age. After a whirlwind courtship she married Gene Ferguson on September 27, 1943, and they raised their four sons in Pico Rivera, Calif. In 1980, Lorraine and Gene settled in Fort Mohave, enjoying the retired life of traveling, gardening and being involved with friends and family. Lorraine was a founding member of WOLAPO (Wives of Los Angeles Police Officers) and served in various PTAs, as a past Board member of the Pebble Lake Homeowners Association, member of the Red Hat Society, and the United Methodist Women. Her love, generosity, compassion, positive attitude, good humor and strong faith will remain embedded within the Ferguson family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Rose Krebs; husband, Gene; and two brothers, Harold and Clifford Krebs. Lorraine is survived by her four sons, John of Rancho Murrieta, Calif., Rod of Fort Mohave, Ariz., Sid of Bonsall, Calif., and Craig of Las Vegas, Nev.; sister, Betty Geiwitz of Paso Robles, Calif.; brother, Bob Krebs of Paso Robles, Calif.; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and by many nieces, nephews and life-long friends from far and near. A Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Hope United Methodist Church, 1325 Ramar Rd., Bullhead City, Ariz. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made in Lorraine's name to your favorite charity .
