Kate Perry Dies at Age of 95 Mrs. Kate C. Perry, 95, a resident of Phoenix since 1896, died in a rest home here Sunday, Nov. 29, 1964. During her 69 years in Arizona, Mrs. Perry had been employed at the Phoenix Indian School and was a clerk at the Maricopa County assessor’s office and for the Arizona Highway Department. She retired in 1945. Born in Leading Creek, West Virginia, she moved here from Omaha, Nebraska. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, First Methodist Church, and Business and Professional Women’s Club. Services were conducted in A. L. Moore and Sons Mortuary, 333 W. Adams. Dr. Roy Bowers and the Order of Eastern Star officiated. Burial in Greenwood Memorial Park. Two sons, Fred D. of Prescott and Roy L. Perry of Phoenix, five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren survive. The Arizona Republic Tuesday, Dec. 1, 1964.
