NAVARRO, Joe R.

Joe R. Navarro, 89, of Gilbert AZ passed away peacefully June 12, 2007 in Gilbert, AZ, staying very strong until he was called home by the Lord. He was a resident of Gilbert for many years and married to Rosalia Garcia. He served in the military and was a Gunner on an Aircraft Carrier in the Navy during WWII. Joe is survived by his sons Joe, Eddie, Rey, and Raul, his daughters Helen Quintero, Arcelia Rivera, Olivia Tanori, Cruz Escudero and Estella Rodriguez, his brothers Gilbert, Jesse and Henry and his sisters Armida Palomo, Connie Gonzalez, Hortencia Ortega, Soledad Mesa, and Gloria Valenzuela; also 32 grandchildren, 54 great grand children and 5 great great grandchild. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Carmen and Pedro, his sister Romelia Garcia and his wife Rosalia Garcia. He was known and loved by many. A visitation was held on Thursday June 14, 2007 at Falconer Funeral Home at 251 W. Juniper Ave, Gilbert, AZ. Church services were June 15, 2007 at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 440 E. Elliot Rd. Gilbert, AZ. Interment at the Valley of the Sun Cemetery after the services in Chandler, AZ. Published in The Arizona Republic on 6/15/2007.
