Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Published Thursday, April 5, 2012 - Martha “Marty” Lela Hunter, 67, passed away March 30, 2012 after a short battle with cancer. She was born in Akron, Ohio June 6, 1944 to Roy and Jennie Clark. Marty moved to Lake Havasu City in 1971 with her family and remained a resident here until 1990. Many knew Marty as the first manager of Maverick Country Store when they opened in the late 80s. Marty was a special soul and was always willing to listen to others. She was loving, caring, and best known for her sarcasm and ornery laugh! Marty was preceded in death by the love of her life, husband Earl; as well as her father, Roy and sister, Marilyn. Marty is survived by her children, Gene, Jeff, Keith and Mike; mother, Jennie Clark; sisters, Shellie and Sandra; brother, Mike; eight grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Marty and Earl are now together forever. God Bless them both for being in our lives. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 7, 2012 for friends and family.
