Mohave Daily News, Mohave Valley, AZ - Published in Mohave Daily News Online from April 9 to April 16, 2012 - William "Bill" Russey, age 79, an 8-year resident of Bullhead City, Ariz., went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 23, 2012, in Bullhead City, Ariz. Bill was born in Torrance, Calif., on May 9, 1932 - He would have been 80 years old. At a young age, Bill moved with his parents, Frank and Agnes Russey, to Yreka, Calif., where Bill attended school, and graduated from High School. Bill spent most of his life in the Bay area of California, where he worked for the Railroad, in pet grooming, and at Bennett Glass. In 2004, Bill and his life partner of 40 years, moved to Bullhead City, where they made their home. Bill loved to travel and was lucky enough to be able to visit many countries of the world. Bill was always there for his family and friends. We will miss him very much! Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Agnes Russey. Bill is survived by his life partner, Tom Pendergrass, Sr.; two sons, Thomas (Tracy) Pendergrass, and Randy Pendergrass of Turlock, Calif.; daughter, Sherri Ruiz of Napa, Calif.; two cousins, Loreene Robbins of Bullhead City, Ariz., and Evelyn (Earl) Roberts of Auburn, Calif.; and many close friends he considered his extended family. "Bill will be missed – especially his love of life and his humor." A memorial will be held at a later date.
