Amelia Estella Vollaire passed away April 6, 2012 in Lake Havasu City, at the age of 73. Amy, as she was known to family and friends, was born to Diego and Elisa (Grijalva) Armijo Sept. 18, 1938, in Albuquerque, N.M.
Amy loved traveling, fishing, boating and dancing. She enjoyed having drinks with family and friends. She retired from Sandpoint Marina.
Amy is survived by her true love, Bill Franklin, of Parker; son, Christopher E. Brown (Carroll), of Yuma; daughters, Nedra S. Vasquez (David), of Mesa, Michelle D. Vollaire (Tina), of Lake Havasu City, and Victoria R. Vollaire (Keith), of Lake Havasu City; sister-in-law, JoAn V. Armijo, of El Monte, Calif.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Lietz-Fraze Chapel, with the Rosary being said at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be said Friday at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church at 1 p.m., with Father Lawrence Bakut officiating.
