Richard Kent Bingham
Kent Bingham, 72, went to be with the Lord on Good Friday, April 6, 2012. He lost his earthly battle with leukemia but won the ultimate victory in Christ.
Kent was born April 12, 1939 to Merideth and Irene Bingham in San Luis Obispo, CA. He spent his childhood in Buckeye, Kingman and Yuma.
He attended Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff and graduated with the School of Forestry. He spent his 25 year forestry career with Southwest Forest Industries in Flagstaff, Cortez, CO and South Fork, CO.
In his second career as a successful entrepreneur, he owned 5 Mail Boxes Etc/The UPS Store franchises in the Durango, CO area and Phoenix.
He is preceded in death by his parents and only sibling, Robert Douglas Bingham.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lois, son, Christopher of Phoenix, daughter, Sherri (Biesemeyer) of Phoenix and her husband Bill, and grandson, Taylor Biesemeyer of Flagstaff.
To celebrate Kent’s life, a service will be held Saturday, April 14 at 10:30am. Shepherd of the Desert Lutheran Church, 9590 E. Shea Blvd. Scottsdale, AZ 85260. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to: Hospice of the Valley www.hov.org or Peace Lutheran Church in Flagstaff.
